  • 1 piece of beef (for bulgogi or minced beef)
  • 2 pieces of green onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/3 onion (finely diced)
  • 4 eggs

Seasoning

  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds

Cooking Instructions

Prepare the beef by cutting it into bite-sized pieces with scissors or a knife. Season it by gently massaging it with two pinches of salt. This helps tenderize the meat and allows the flavors to meld.

Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the finely chopped green onions and diced onions and sauté until fragrant. The vegetables will become translucent and their sweetness will be enhanced.

Push the sautéed onions and green onions to one side of the pan. Add the seasoned beef and stir-fry quickly over high heat, breaking up any clumps with chopsticks or a spatula to ensure even cooking.

Once the beef is partially cooked, add a little more cooking oil to the empty space in the pan. Pour in the beaten eggs and cook, stirring gently with chopsticks once the edges begin to set, to create soft scrambled eggs.

Combine the scrambled eggs, cooked beef, and vegetables. Turn off the heat momentarily. Add two bowls of cooked rice to the pan, along with the oyster sauce, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Turn the heat back on to medium and stir-fry thoroughly, ensuring the sauce coats every grain of rice. Continue to cook until the rice is fluffy and well-separated.
