  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds

Cooking Instructions

First, lightly coat a pan with perilla oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Then, add the pre-cooked braised bamboo shoots and thinly julienned carrots, stir-frying them together. Once the ingredients are coated with oil and their flavors have developed, add a splash of brewed soy sauce and continue to stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the flavors meld.

Rinse the rice thoroughly and let it soak for about 30 minutes. The amount of water for cooking rice is crucial. Measure the water as you normally would for cooking rice. However, if you’re adding ingredients with high water content (e.g., mushrooms, vegetables), reduce the cooking water by about 2-3 tablespoons. Conversely, if you’re adding ingredients with low moisture content, you can use the usual amount of water.
