Recipe Info

  • Category : Main dish
  • Ingredient Category : Beef
  • Occasion : Everyday
  • Cooking : Stir-fry
  • Servings : 4 servings
  • Difficulty : Beginner

Main Ingredients

  • 400g Beef sirloin
  • 4 Fresh button mushrooms
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1/3 Zucchini
  • 12 Cherry tomatoes
  • 2 Green chili peppers
  • 10 cloves Garlic

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, cut the 400g of beef sirloin into bite-sized pieces, about 1-1.5cm thick. Season the beef with a pinch of salt and pepper and let it marinate for a short while. This helps to tenderize the meat and allows the seasonings to penetrate well.

Step 1

Step 2

While the beef is marinating, let’s prepare the vegetables. Clean the 4 button mushrooms and quarter them or slice them. Thinly slice half an onion and the one-third of the zucchini. Cut the 12 cherry tomatoes in half after removing their stems. Finely chop the 2 green chili peppers. Slice or mince the 10 cloves of garlic. Slicing all vegetables to a similar size ensures they cook evenly.

Step 2

Step 3

Heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a heated pan. Add the 10 sliced garlic cloves first. Stir-fry the garlic over medium-low heat, being careful not to burn it, to release its aroma. Once the garlic turns golden brown, sprinkle a tiny pinch of salt to enhance its flavor.

Step 3

Step 4

In the same pan where you stir-fried the garlic, add the sliced half onion. Stir-fry until the onion begins to turn translucent. Sprinkle a little salt to bring out its sweetness and cook quickly. Avoid overcooking the onion, as it can release too much moisture.

Step 4

Step 5

Now, add the one-third of the zucchini, which has been cut into strips, and stir-fry. Lightly salting the zucchini as it cooks will help to reduce excess moisture and make it tender. It’s best to stir-fry it quickly over high heat to prevent it from becoming too mushy.

Step 5

Step 6

Add the 12 cherry tomatoes, cut into halves, and stir-fry them quickly. The juices from the tomatoes will help create a sauce. Sprinkle a little salt to balance their tartness and sweetness. Stir-fry carefully to avoid mashing the tomatoes completely.

Step 6

Step 7

Add the 4 prepared button mushrooms to the pan and stir-fry with the other vegetables. Mushrooms release moisture as they cook, so stir-frying them over high heat prevents excess water from forming and keeps their texture intact. Lightly salt the mushrooms, just like the other vegetables.

Step 7

Step 8

Add the marinated 400g of beef sirloin to the pan and stir-fry quickly. It’s important to cook the beef over high heat to sear the outside and lock in the juices. You can cut it into larger pieces to enjoy the texture, or cut it into more manageable sizes.

Step 8

Step 9

Combine all the stir-fried vegetables and the beef back into one pan. Stir-frying each component separately helps to preserve the individual textures and flavors of the ingredients.

Step 9

Step 10

Finally, add the 2 chopped green chili peppers and give everything a final quick stir. The fresh aroma and slight spiciness of the green chilies will enhance the overall flavor. Continue to stir-fry for just 1-2 minutes until all the ingredients are well combined. Your delicious Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry is ready!

Step 10

Step 11

A truly simple yet impressive dish is complete! Serve it over warm rice or enjoy it as a side dish. Enjoy your meal today! ^^
