Main Ingredients

  • 1/2 head of young napa cabbage
  • 100g cabbage
  • 3 stalks of green onions (scallions)
  • 400g thinly sliced pork belly
  • 1/2 cup (100ml) water

Seasoning Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp tuna extract
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp cooking wine (like mirin)
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 Tbsp chili powder
  • A pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, thoroughly wash the young napa cabbage and regular cabbage, then cut them into bite-sized pieces. Wash the green onions and chop them finely.

In a small bowl, combine all the seasoning ingredients (tuna extract, soy sauce, vinegar, cooking wine, sugar, sesame seeds, chili powder, and pepper). Whisk them together until well mixed to create a delicious sauce.

Prepare a deep pot. Start by layering the bottom with a generous amount of the cut young napa cabbage and regular cabbage. Next, arrange the thinly sliced pork belly evenly over the vegetables. Finally, sprinkle the chopped green onions on top of the pork belly. Repeat this layering process 2-3 times to create a full and inviting dish.
