This is a homemade apple pie recipe using fresh apples, simmered to create a delicious filling, instead of store-bought apple jam. The harmony of soft bread and sweet apple filling is exquisite, and you can enjoy a wonderful dessert even without an oven.
Main Ingredients- 1 Apple (medium size)
- 50g Butter
- 2 Tbsp Honey
- 4 slices of Bread

Step 1
First, peel the apple, remove the core, and dice it into bite-sized pieces (about 1 cm). If you dice it too small, it might get mushy when cooked, so cut it into an appropriate size.
Step 2
Melt 50g of butter in a pot over medium-low heat. Once the butter is melted, add the diced apple and 2 tablespoons of honey. Stir with a spatula and simmer. When the apples release their moisture and start to turn a caramel brown color, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly. This process takes about 10-15 minutes. Watch the color carefully as you simmer to prevent burning.
Step 3
Cut the bread slices into your desired shape (round, heart, etc.). Lightly butter a pan (about 1 tsp of butter) and toast the cut bread slices until golden brown on both sides. The crispy texture will enhance the flavor of your apple pie.
Step 4
